The TEQSPORT Baffled Catch Can Kit is designed for 2025+ Toyota 4Runner models equipped with Toyota's turbocharged 2.4L T24A powerplant. Installed inline with the factory PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) system, this kit helps separate and capture oil vapor and other contaminants before they are recirculated into the engine's intake system.

Why do I need a catch can?

Blow-by is a normal byproduct of the combustion process in any internal combustion engine. During operation, a small amount of combustion gas escapes past the piston rings and enters the crankcase, creating pressure that must be relieved. The factory PCV system routes these gases back into the intake system to be burned during normal engine operation. Along with these gases comes a fine oil mist that can accumulate throughout the intake tract over time.

Turbocharged engines often experience increased crankcase pressure and higher levels of oil vapor within the PCV system, particularly during heavy acceleration, towing, off-road use, or other high-load conditions. As these vapors are recirculated through the intake system, oil residue can collect inside charge pipes, intercooler, throttle bodie, intake manifold, and on intake valves. Over time, this buildup can reduce intake system cleanliness and efficiency while contributing to carbon and oil deposits throughout the induction system.

How does it work?

The TEQSPORT Catch Can Kit uses an internal baffled filtration design to separate oil droplets and suspended contaminants from crankcase vapors before they re-enter the intake system. Collected oil remains trapped inside the catch can while filtered vapors continue through the PCV system as intended. By reducing the amount of oil entering the intake tract, the system helps maintain a cleaner induction system and minimizes unwanted oil accumulation throughout critical engine components. Servicing the can is made easy thanks to the remotely mounted drain valve. This valve is hand-operated and located lower on the vehicle, so when it comes time to drain the can, it's not necessary to remove the can from the vehicle first.
