The TEQSPORT Baffled Catch Can Kit is designed for Toyota 4Runner models equipped with the 4.0L 1GR-FE V6 engine. Installed inline with the factory PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) system, this kit helps separate oil vapor and other contaminants before they are recirculated back into the intake system.

Why do I need a catch can?

Blow-by is a normal characteristic of any internal combustion engine. During combustion, a small amount of gases escapes past the piston rings and enters the crankcase, creating excess pressure inside the engine. The factory PCV system relieves this pressure by routing those gases back into the intake to be burned during combustion. In the process, oil vapor and fine contaminants are also carried through the intake tract. Over time, this oil residue can coat the inside of the intake tubing, throttle body, and intake manifold. On higher mileage engines, or vehicles that see frequent towing, off-road use, or extended high-load driving, oil contamination inside the intake system can become even more pronounced. By filtering oil and suspended particulates from the PCV stream before they re-enter the intake, a catch can helps keep the intake system cleaner and reduces unwanted oil accumulation.

How does it work?

The TEQSPORT Catch Can Kit uses an internal baffled filtration design to separate oil and contaminants from crankcase vapors while allowing filtered gases to continue flowing through the PCV system as intended. The collected oil remains trapped inside the can for easy servicing, helping maintain a cleaner intake system without disrupting factory operation. Servicing the can is made easy thanks to the remotely mounted drain valve. This valve is hand-operated and located lower on the vehicle, so when it comes time to drain the can, it's not necessary to remove the can from the vehicle first.

Unlike universal catch can kits that rely on generic brackets and bulk hose, the TEQSPORT kit is engineered specifically for the Toyota 4Runner platform. Vehicle-specific mounting hardware and properly fitted hoses provide a clean OE-style appearance along with a straightforward installation process.
