TEQ engine tunes do not disable emissions control systems or the onboard diagnostic (OBD) system. The customer is responsible for ensuring the hardware they are using on their vehicle does not cause a failure to meet emissions standards.

Included with the purchase of the TEQ Performance Tune is an EcuTek Bluetooth OBDII adapter and performance analyzer that is used to flash the provided ROM file onto your stock ECU through EcuTek's ECU Connect App for mobile devices. Together, the App and Bluetooth adapter allow full vehicle integration giving you the ability to read and reset diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and access to a huge number of diagnostic parameters for both display and data logging, including detailed temperature data for engine oil, coolant and intake air, ignition timing and knock control, and more.
Direct Tune Delivery
Using the Direct Tune Delivery system, we're able to significantly reduce the time it takes to deliver most tunes, as long as certain prerequisites are met. This means that for the majority of Level 1 and Level 2 tunes, customers will be able to download their tune immediately upon connecting to the Ecutek Bluetooth dongle. *This is only made possible if you respond to the emailed form in a timely fashion. Delays in response will delay tune delivery. Unsupported ROMs will still experience the normal 5-10 business day delay.
*Please make sure your phone is compatible with the EcuTek ECU Connect app (IOS / Android) before ordering. If you need to flash your car using the older laptop method, please contact us. When setting up your account through EcuTek Connect, please be sure to use the SAME EMAIL that you use for your TEQ account. Failure to do this may result in extended processing time.
*Customers who already have a tune from another platform (OpenFlash Tablet, ROMraider, BRZedit, etc.), you MUST flash your vehicle back to stock before attempting to flash with EcuTek. If you cannot flash your vehicle back to stock, you will need to contact Customer Service to rent a Deskey to flash back to stock with EcuTek using a laptop. Once this is completed, you will be able to flash your vehicle with your TEQSPORT tune using the ECU Connect app.
THE GAINS
The dyno graph below illustrates the gains seen on TEQSPORT's stock 2024 GR86 fleet car before and after tuning. On the stock calibration, our car produced 216whp and 176wtq on 93-octane fuel. After tuning, we gained 7whp and 5wtq, making a modest 223whp and 181wtq. We took it a step further and added a flex-fuel kit, tuning on E85 to gain 24whp and 14wtq over the stock calibration. This left us with a final output of 240whp and 190wtq, and a car that was much more exhilarating to drive!
Our Level 1 Tune is designed for completely stock or lightly modified vehicles with a factory catalytic converter. Modifications such as a cat-back exhaust or an intake are supported by the Level 1 tune.
