OEM Shifter Ball Socket Cup

The item was perfect quick and easy install

got a new one for my short throw shifter and it worked fine and feels good

Replaced the old one when installing the new Z1 Short Shifter.

My last ball socket cracked and looked to be pretty cheaply made, this OEM ball shifter as performed very well I have use this in both my engines.

If anyone ever have to separate the gear shifter from the ball socket cup for any reason, seriously consider getting a new one before doing so - will save you a ton of headache later on. The old one tends to become brittle with age, on top of the usual wear-&-tear, so once you remove it you'll probably gonna break the "teeth" and wouldn't be able to re-use it.

Direct replacement no hassle.

Shifter feels smoother, more stable and little more precise. I used white lithium grease for the ball and cup surface prior to attaching cup. Be patient replacing the boot.

5th gear had heavy vibration and kept popping out of place. Turned out to be a worn and torn ball socket joint. Z1 had it in stock and i had it in two days. Problem fixed and happy customer. Thankyou z1

Over time, these wear out. This shifter ball socket cup gets a lot of beating over the ages. Getting a new shifter ball socket cup can make a big difference in not only how your shifter acts, but performs as well. If you do install any new shifting mechanism, whether a new short throw shifter or, simply replacing your stock one, it's highly recommended to replace your shifter ball socket cup. You're already in it, if you're swapping out the shifter, why not?! You won't regret it!! I know that I don't regret it, not one bit!!!
