The TEQSPORT Urethane Subframe Bushing Inserts are designed to reduce unwanted subframe movement in the Toyota GR86 by filling the voids in the factory rubber bushings.
From the factory, the rear subframe is mounted with compliant rubber bushings that allow measurable movement under load. During hard acceleration, deceleration, and lateral cornering forces, this deflection can translate into delayed power delivery, inconsistent rear-end response, and a less precise driving feel.
These urethane inserts install above and below the factory subframe mounts, filling the engineered gaps in the OEM bushings to limit excessive movement while retaining the original rubber isolators. The result is a more controlled and predictable rear chassis without fundamentally changing the character of the car.
Because these inserts are constructed from high-durometer urethane rather than solid aluminum or metal, they significantly reduce subframe deflection while introducing little to no noticeable increase in noise, vibration, or harshness. You gain improved response and stability without the added NVH typically associated with solid bushings or full bushing replacements.
Benefits include:
- Reduced subframe deflection under acceleration and braking
- Improved power transfer
- Increased rear-end stability during cornering
- Sharper chassis feedback with minimal change in NVH
