This two-piece assembly uses a compact, low-profile footprint that mounts cleanly to any flat metal or composite surface. It is designed for new installations where a clean and weather-resistant wiring pass-through is required. Drilling into the panel is needed for the initial opening, and the grommet clamps securely around the hole to create a tidy and professional finish.
The Z1 grommet supports up to nineteen individual wires, which allows far greater capacity than typical fixed hole grommets. It accepts two 8-gauge leads for high current accessories and up to seventeen 12-gauge wires for lighting, communications, or power distribution. This makes it an excellent choice for overland builds and off-road vehicles running multiple roof lights, antennas, or power circuits.
A durable rubber lower section seals tightly around the panel opening while the precision-machined Delrin upper shell locks the assembly together for a secure and weather-tight fit. The grommet seals against the panel and around the wires to keep out water, dust, and debris in harsh conditions. At only 22 millimeters tall, it stays low and unobtrusive under roof racks or headliners while still providing reliable cable management.
