WHY DO I NEED IT?

Located on the rear differential of your truck, a breather is installed that allows excess gasses to be vented from the rear differential as it heats and cools during use. This has two major disadvantages for off-road vehicles:

1. When traversing through water or mud, it is possible for water to enter the differential, mixing with gear oils and causing damage to internal components and seals.
2. It is very common for dirt and mud to clog the fitting, allowing excess pressure to build inside the differential case. As pressure increases, it damages axle seals, resulting in fluid leaks and expensive repairs.

With this complete kit, you can conveniently relocate the breather to a higher position beneath your truck, effectively preventing contaminants from reaching the vent. We've gone the extra mile by providing you with 6ft of reinforced hose, offering ample flexibility to accommodate most standard lift kits. Installation is a breeze with our user-friendly design. OPTIONS:

Choose between standard and locking differentials. Locking rear differentials are found on TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro trims. These models have an additional breather located on the pinion. When making this selection, supplemental hardware and hose is supplied to unify the breather system, allowing both breathers to vent to the same fitting.

An optional package for locking differentials is coming soon! The option for standard differentials can be used on models with the locking differential; however, this will not replace or unify the breather on the pinion. Rest assured, if you purchase this option now, you'll be able to purchase the supplemental hardware for the breather on the pinion soon!
