Are you having issues with 350Z low fuel pressure or no start conditions? If so, there's a good chance you're suffering from a cracked fuel pump grommet.
This rubber grommet is installed between the pump outlet and the plastic pump hat. Heat, age, and exposure to ethanol (E85) make them highly susceptible to cracking. When installing aftermarket fuel pumps, it's also common to see fuel pump grommets crack as they're stretched over the new fuel pump outlet. This causes fuel pressure to bleed off inside the tank and never make it to the fuel rail, resulting in fuel delivery issues and poor running conditions. Z1's replacement fuel pump grommet is manufactured from a highly flexible, E85-compatible Viton rubber, making it the ideal replacement for all situations. Viton's high elasticity makes it easy to install without the risk of tearing.
To improve function in performance applications, the outlet hole was oversized to better fit aftermarket fuel pumps. Our engineers made this change with input from our service technicians after noticing factory fuel pump grommets overlapping the outlet hole on larger aftermarket fuel pumps.
